By Anirban Sinha Roy: The monsoon is set to enter West Bengal in the next 24 hours, bringing respite from the heat in the state. The Alipore Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in northern districts of West Bengal for the next few days. Scattered rain is also likely in South Bengal. The weather agency forecast the temperature will drop in the state in the next few days, ejecting the heat wave in cities of south Bengal including Kolkata. According to the meteorological department, the temperature may drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the districts of north Bengal in the next three days. Heavy rains may start in Alipurduar 1 and Cooch Behar districts on Sunday itself, the weather office said.
