To make it visible, I have to edit the header and/or footer and then I can see it but the next time I open the document I have to do the same thing all over again. Split from I'm using Word 2016 on my Windows 10 machine and have the same problem. The footer is visible in the print preview, but the only way to bring it up in editing mode is to search for a word I know is in the footer. When Word finds the sought term it shows the footer and I can then edit it. I must be missing something obvious. I presume that this is a "feature" and not a "bug" but I think it is a terrible feature. It is important to be able to see a document as it was created. Headers and footers are important things to be there "By Default", Teams is a way you can come together to create and edit things. This destroys to look and feel of a document so that you really need to proof it elsewhere before using it or sending it. Why is it this way? It seems to add complexity to the document creation and editing process. Things in your document are folded up and hidden away, and you have to find a menu to see it. Please change this feature to make it so word documents display as they will print. Please Does anyone else feel the same. Now I must convert everything to a PDF (for public display) and keep the word copy separate, for my documents look professional and well formatted in Teams meetings and conversations. PS Please please please add Month view to the Teams calendar!! This week only view is killing me!
