What will the iPhone 15 look like? The design differences we expect to see

We can't tell for sure, and the rumour mill hasn't got its hands on any tasty leaks yet. But we can make some informed predictions based on what we know from previous and current iPhones, such as the The short version: it'll look a lot like the iPhone 13, but there will be some significant differences. I don't think you'll see massive design changes to mess with that. The notch will almost certainly be gone –it'll go from the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max this year – in favour of a hole-punch design, and the Lightning port will almost certainly be swapped for USB-C. It might even drop the port altogether in favour of MagSafe-only charging, although I think that one's a long shot – some accessories, such as CarPlay stereos, need a cabled connection. If you thought the outcry over the end of the headphone jack was bad, an iPhone that made people's in-car entertainment obsolete would be louder still. Round the back, you'll still have that camera bump –but there will be improved sensors and possibly a periscope lens in there for better optical zoom, something current iPhones aren't brilliant at and something that may arrive in the Pro models of the iPhone 14 first. And rumours suggest that in addition to Face ID, near-future iPhones will also have a fingerprint sensor embedded behind the screen. I don't think we'll see a folding iPhone becoming the standard iPhone for a good while yet, but having a folding iPhone 15 as the most expensive option isn't impossible; we know Apple is w...

Will Apple increase iPhone prices in 2023? Will it even be called the "iPhone 15"? No one outside of Apple knows for sure, but these reports will certainly feed our curiosity until Apple throws the next iPhone event (probably in September). Exclusive: First look at iPhone 15 Pro’s special color

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro colors Apple has regularly offered the “Pro” models of the iPhone in special edition colors every year. The iPhone 12 Pro was available in pacific blue, the iPhone 13 Pro was available in sierra blue, and the iPhone 14 Pro is available in special space black and deep purple colors. The For the iPhone 15 Pro, a source who spoke to 9to5Mac revealed that Apple is planning a new dark red color option. The mock-up we created is mainly just to visualize what the color could look like on an iPhone. Apple’s final design will obviously be more refined. For the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, our source says two of the color options in testing are It will be particularly interesting to see what Apple does with iPhone 15 Pro colors this year. This is because the iPhone 15 Pro will also be made from titanium, according to a OMG this would be an INSTANT buy! However, what’s up with so many leaks this early in the cycle? Normally we’d get this type of leaks until June-August. Apple tests multiple different colors of new iPhone models before they are released. Given the transition to titanium, Apple will also need to perfect the coating process of the titanium material. Apple has to factor in things like yield rates, production time, and costs. For example, it was widely rumored that the iPhone X would be available in gold, but this didn’t actually happen. A few months after the device’s release, however, As it stands right now, however, this deep red c...

They can help you figure out if it's worth waiting a while to upgrade. With something like the iPhone 15, it's a good idea to compare rumor and against rumor, and you can then work out what's most likely. Look at the predicted switch to USB-C for instance, which Apple has actually gone So take this latest video in the same spirit: useful information to have, but impossible to verify until Apple actually makes its announcements. Apple iPhone 15 Pro Will Have Dazzling New Look, Leak Claims

MORE FROM FORBES iOS 16.4: Apple Just Gave iPhone Users 4 Reasons To Update-But Something's Missing By David Phelan April 12 update. Talking of dazzling new design, there’s been one persistent rumor for how the next iPhone will look different: the power and volume buttons, plus the mute switch. On the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, all were to be replaced with solid-state buttons, it was believed. This intriguing prospect has now receded, it seems. That’s a shame, as these updated buttons sounded remarkable: no more springy buttons and a physical switch. Instead, extra haptic response in the form of not one but two extra Taptic Engines on board would let the user know that their button presses had been recognized, without the buttons actually moving at all. Apple would doubtless have pulled off this trick brilliantly. After all, the Home button on later iPhones were persuasive in giving the impression of movement, and the Force Touch on Mac trackpads is completely convincing. Alas, this witchcraft will not be delighting us just yet. According to the reliable Ming-Chi Kuo from TF International Securities, in a new Medium post today, “due to unresolved technical issues before mass production, both high-end iPhone 15 Pro models (Pro & Pro Max) will abandon the closely-watched solid-state button design and revert to the traditional physical button design.” Editor The analyst indicates that the decision has been made now because of where the development of the phone is up...

iPhone in 2023 — iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Ultra, iPhone SE 4 and more

For that reason, it should be no surprise that iPhone 15 rumors are already swirling at the start of the new year, as people try to get a bead on what Apple might plan for this year's fall phone release. But we're not in a holding pattern until that likely So at the start of what could be an eventful year for Apple's iPhone, here are the questions hanging over Apple's upcoming releases, whether it's the iPhone 15 or other potential additions to Apple's lineup. iPhone SE 4 renders (Image credit: Jon Prosser/Ian Zelbo) Add to that the fact that Google and Samsung are likely to produce new versions of their well-regarded midrange phones, and Apple risks getting shut out of that end of the market if the iPhone SE spends the year on the bench. But a new rumor claims it just might do that. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says iOS 17: What's coming to the iPhone in 2023? One thing we're pretty sure will happen is the release of iOS 17 just about the time the iPhone 15 is ready to make its debut. But we'll know about the software update's feature long before then, given Apple's habit of previewing the new version of iOS at its Worldwide Developers Conference. This year's event likely takes place in June, with a public beta of iOS 17 to follow. iOS 17 rumors are less pervasive than iPhone 15 rumblings at this point, largely because Apple develops its own software in-house without any loose lips in the hardware supply chain to spill details about unannounced features.
