Heavens:

Heavens: – The 3 heavens The As we see from creation, from Genesis, God created heavens not one heaven. Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth Some Bible versions have got Gen 1:1 wrong. The original word is ‘heavens’ (many) not heaven (one). See . Reason chapter 2 says, Gen 2:1: Thus the heavens and the earth were finished See that Gen 1:1 and Gen 2:1 are in agreement with one another talking of heavens (many). In some Bible versions, these two verses are not in agreement. Gen 2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens God created heavens (many) not heaven (one). Here are more Bible verses confirming God created heavens not one heaven Det 32:1 Give ear, O you heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth 2 Sam 22:10 He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet 1Chr 16:26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens Job 9:8 Which alone spreads out the heavens, and treads upon the waves of the sea Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork Hag 2:6 For thus says the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land Mk 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him 2 Peter 3:10 But the...

Greek Mythology: Division of the World

Division of the World We will now return to Zeus and his brothers, who, having gained a complete victory over their enemies, began to consider how the world, which they had conquered, should be divided between them. At last it was settled by lot that Zeus should reign supreme in Heaven, whilst Aïdes governed the Lower World, and Poseidon had full command over the Sea, but the supremacy of Zeus was recognized in all three kingdoms, in heaven, on earth (in which of course the sea was included), and under the earth. Zeus held his court on the top of Mount Olympus, whose summit was beyond the clouds; the dominions of Aïdes were the gloomy unknown regions below the earth; and Poseidon reigned over the sea. It will be seen that the realm of each of these gods was enveloped in mystery. Olympus was shrouded in mists, Hades was wrapt in gloomy darkness, and the sea was, and indeed still is, a source of wonder and deep interest. Hence we see that what to other nations were merely strange phenomena, served this poetical and imaginative people as a foundation upon which to build the wonderful stories of their mythology. The division of the world being now satisfactorily arranged, it would seem that all things ought to have gone on smoothly, but such was not the case. Trouble arose in an unlooked-for quarter. The Giants, those hideous monsters (some with legs formed of serpents) who had sprung from the earth and the blood of Uranus, declared war against the triumphant deities of Olympu...

Earth

Earth is the planet we live on, one of eight planets in our solar system and the only known place in the universe to support life. Earth is the third planet from the sun, after Mercury and Venus, and before Mars. It is about 150 million kilometers (about 93 million miles) from the sun. This distance, called an astronomical unit (AU), is a standard unit of measurement in astronomy. Earth is one AU from the sun. The planet Jupiter is about 5.2 AU from the sun—about 778 million kilometers (483.5 million miles). Earth is the largest and most massive of the rocky inner planets, although it is dwarfed by the gas giants beyond the Asteroid Belt. Its diameter is about 12,700 kilometers (7,900 miles), and its mass is about 5.97×1024 kilograms (6.58×1021 tons). In contrast, Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system, has a diameter of 143,000 kilometers (88,850 miles), and its mass is about 1,898×1024 kilograms (2093×1021 tons). Earth is an oblate spheroid. This means it is spherical in shape, but not perfectly round. It has a slightly greater radius at the Equator, the imaginary line running horizontally around the middle of the planet. In addition to bulging in the middle, Earth’s poles are slightly flattened. The geoid describes the model shape of Earth, and is used to calculate precise surface locations. Earth has one natural satellite, the moon. Earth is the only planet in the solar system to have one moon. Venus and Mercury do not have any moons, for example, while Jupite...

The Three Realms

Read the following scriptures very carefully: Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and to lose its seals?" And no one in Heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look at it. (Revelation 5:2-3) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth (Philippians 2:10 KJV) The above scripture reveals to us the three realms • Heaven • The Earth • The Underworld Things in Heaven - refers to the spiritual realm where God's throne is located, also called the "third heaven" (2 Corinthians 12:2). This is the abode of God, the angels, and saints. Things on the Earth - include humans, animals etc. Things under the Earth (The Underworld or Hell) - include chambers where fallen angels are bound in chains of darkness while awaiting their day of judgment. (Read 2 Peter 2:4) According to the New Testament, here lie the unrighteous souls and spirits of departed men and women. After Lord Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, scripture says God (the Father) highly exalted Him to a position of honour at His right hand and gave Him a Name that is above every name (Read Ephesians 1:20; Philippians 2:9–11). God (the Father) not only gave Jesus a Name that is above every name, but at the Name of Jesus, every being in all three worlds—Heaven, Earth, and the Underworld (Hell) —must bow and confess Jesus' lordship and dominion. God also seated Lord ...

Lithosphere The lithosphere is a domain concerning For example, Mount Everest, the highest mountain on Continents of the Earth Source: Township Wiki The Earth is divided into 7 continents. Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, and Australia. Continents are the most important domain as they inhibit the largest number of lifeforms. • Asia is the largest continent on Earth covering almost 1/3rd of the Earth’s land. Asia and Europe together form ‘ Eurasia‘. It is followed by the continent of Africa. • Africa is unique in its own way because it is the only continent through which the Equator, the Tropic of Cancer, and the Tropic of Capricorn pass through. • Europe is located entirely in the Northern Hemisphere as well as some of it lies in the Eastern Hemisphere. It is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. Thus it is most suitable for fishing and harbour activities. • North America and South America together form ‘Americas’. North America is the third largest continent on Earth. Isthmus of Panama connects North America to South America. The Northern Hemisphere is also called the Land Hemisphere because the greater part of Earth’s landmass lies in the Northern Hemisphere. Isthmus is an • Australia also known as Oceania is an island continent surrounded by the Indian and Pacific oceans.
