ٱلنساء‎ An-Nisa “The Women” Revelation: Medinan No. of Ayat: 176 verses Chapter of Qur’an: #4 Position: Juz 4 & 5 Inspirational Quote: “Allah wills to lighten (things) for you, and man was created a weakling.” Surah Nisa Ayat 29 About this Surah: This Surah was revealed after the battle of Uhud which took place between the Muslims and the Quraysh idolaters. It mentions the Jews who went against them in Medinah after having lost the battle. It also disputes the people of the book who went about divinizing Isa (عليه السلام). The surah also reveals the Islamic perspective of what happen to Isa (عليه السلام) with compared to how Christianity views his crucifixion. The surah also contains important rulings of Islamic jurisprudence ( fiqh), it discusses topics concerning women (which is where the Surah name comes from) regarding conditions of marriage, inheritance, marital relations.
