Important Note : At McDonald's, we take great care to serve quality, great-tasting menu items to our customers each and every time they visit our restaurants. We understand that each of our customers has individual needs and considerations when choosing a place to eat or drink outside their home, especially those customers with food allergies. However, we also want you to know that despite taking precautions, normal kitchen operations may involve some shared cooking and preparation areas, equipment and utensils, and the possibility exists for your food items to come in contact with other food products, including allergens. We encourage our customers with food allergies or special dietary needs to visit www.mcdonalds.com for ingredient information, and to consult their doctor for questions regarding their diet. Chocolate Milkshake (3 ingredients!)

There are a few different ways to make a chocolate milkshake using whatever you have on hand — read below for all kinds of variations and substitutions! How to make a Chocolate Milkshake: Making a chocolate milkshake is easy, but there are a couple simple tricks that will get that perfectly thick and perfectly drinkable consistency. • Place the ingredients in the blender in the order listed. This ensures your blender will have no problem getting the right consistency! As a general rule, the firmer an ingredient is, the closer it goes to the top. • Measure the liquid: you know I don’t like to break out the measuring cups unless they’re necessary but I’ve made too many watered (milked?) down, too-thin milkshakes to count and now I always measure to make sure I have just enough. • If your blender is struggling, be sure to stop it and give it a stir. Here you can also check out the consistency and adjust if necessary. What can I use instead of chocolate sauce? I love using a good, rich chocolate sauce but there are so many other ways you can make a chocolate milkshake rich and fudgy: • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder • ⅓ cup chocolate chips, melted with a bit of cream or milk • Swap the vanilla ice cream for chocolate ice cream Variations and other flavor combos: We are big chocolate lovers and we love to pair it with all kinds of things! Here are a few of our favorites: • A tablespoon of raspberry or strawberry jam • ½ teaspoon of mint extract • 1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter ...

Chocolate Milkshakes With No Ice Cream! Recipe

"Ok, I know it's an oxymoron to say 'frozen' and then 'hot' but this tastes like hot chocolate, except it's icey like a milkshake. I make this, and variables of this shake constantly for my family. This is a delicious, lower fat way to cool off on a hot day, or really wake your mouth up in the morning! Also a wonderful alternative to soda, Kool-aid, etc for the kids!" icons / ellipsis / ellipsis-horizontal directions • Place all ingredients in blender and blend on high until there are no chunks of ice left. ** but make sure you're using ONE OR THE OTHER of either cocoa powder OR chocolate milk mix, NOT BOTH. • (My blender makes a grumbling sound and then the sound changes when there are no more ice chunks.)** You can change this recipe so many ways to create your own-- add an 1/8 tsp of peppermint extract for a chocolate mint milkshake. • Add some coffee or 1/2 teaspoon instant espresso powder to make a "Mocha" flavor. • Omit the chocolate and powdered coffee creamer altogether to make vanilla. • With a vanilla base, add any kind of berries-- or replace the milk with 1-1/2 cups orange juice & 1/2 cup water to make the best orange julius just like you get in the mall! • (I don't advise using milk and orange juice together as the acid in the juice will curdle the milk in your stomach!) Play with the amount of sugar, cocoa, etc to create the best taste for you and your family. What a LOVELY drink this makes! I used Hintz Dutch Processed Cocoa powder today to make this. Next t...

Favorite Chocolate Smoothie (No Banana!)

I can’t believe that I haven’t shared the recipe for this amazing Chocolate Smoothie until now. I’ve been drinking some variation of it for the last 5 years! How to Make the Best Chocolate Smoothie The reason this is my favorite smoothie is that it tastes like a chocolate milkshake. It doesn’t taste like a “healthy” smoothie with a hint of banana in the background– it has more of a chocolate milk flavor to it. The key to getting a neutral sweetness in a smoothie is to use dates as the sweetener, instead of banana. When I was pregnant, I learned that eating dates regularly may help to Here’s what I love about dates: • They are a source of plant-based iron and potassium. • They are high in fiber, and roughly 7 dates a day may help to lower the risk of colon cancer. • Dates are high in antioxidants, and may help to lower inflammation and lower the risk for several diseases, including diabetes and certain cancers. ( • They may help to improve brain health. ( • improve memory and lower anxiety levels. My favorite variety of date is Medjool, which tend to be bigger than other varieties. Look for dates that are squishy and moist-looking for the best results. Drier dates will be harder to blend, so you may want to soak them in water before getting started with this recipe. Smoothie Ingredients Along with the dates, I add a few “superfoods” to this smoothie to help me stay full throughout the morning. It’s one of my favorite meal replacement shakes! Here’s what I like to add in: • ...
